Street Action is committed to the issue of Street Children in sub-Saharan Africa.   Our ethos is driven by our partners and our aims and objectives as an organisation are underpinned by our commitment to, and sense of responsibility, to those we serve – street children, our partners and those who support our work.

We believe that street children are among the most vulnerable in African society and that all children have a right to a future, free from the burdens of injustice, poverty and abuse, as well as proper care when faced with disease.

Street Action’s belief in the values of justice, compassion and hope is reflected in our commitment to street children who are forgotten and marginalised by society.

Street Action is motivated by compassion towards the street children we serve, and is responding to their social, physical and mental needs in a holistic way through its support of quality, passionate and innovative local service delivery.

In an age of globalisation, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been put under the spot light. Street Action believes that business and finance providers can make an important contribution to development of our partner’s work through fostering a relationship of greater awareness and engagement and providing long-term sustainable support.

Street Action is inspired by the hope that children bring to the future, and by those local people and communities who are actively engaged with children on the streets to bring about change, renewal and empowerment, and the embracing of a new agenda of transformation that gives street children the life, dignity and childhood they deserve.
